Uhhh...Guess I was half right?

Defense comes up huge in win over Cards...

Offense...not so much. That was one of the ugliest wins I have ever seen. It was terrible for the offense, but the defense did win the game as I said earlier although I am not sure that is exactly how I saw it playing out.

The Falcons' Defense time and again saved the offense after it turned the ball over multiple times on our side of the 50. However, they only gave up 13 points on turnovers. While this is a good job by the defense, it comes against an offense that had a rookie drafted in the 6th round playing QB.

The defense was able to get 3 sacks and a fumble recovery that led to the play of the game.

Outside of two long runs for Stephens-Howling, the defense played well against the run and the pass.

Having said all this, the Falcons have A LOT to work on before their big divisional game this coming Sunday against the Bucs. The Bucs have a much more capable offense than that of the Cards with the re-emergence of Josh Freeman, Vincent Jackson, and the rookie sensation Doug Martin.

Time for Mike Smith and his staff to really earn their pay...MUST MAKE ADJUSTMENTS! If the Falcons don't, an ugly win will turn into an ugly loss in the coming weeks.
