The play's choreography was a thing of beauty and was executed flawlessly. Johnson, a 3rd year offensive tackle out of Alabama came into the game with the Falcons at 2nd and goal at the New Orleans 5. The refs announced on the PA that #79 would be eligible. But who knew???
The ball was snapped, Ryan drops back to pass. The O line pass-blocked well, including Mike Johnson. After selling pass-block to the Saint rushing into him, Mike slipped aside, and let the brute go. Meanwhile, Big Mike easily stepped into the end zone and was wide open to receive Ryan's soft pass. Six points!!!
Great play, and a great way to Fast-Start in this important game.
