"Like a Surgeon"

Matt Ryan is just playing a dart game now!

Matt Ryan has been almost completely dominant in the past 8 quarters. If there has been any let up in his game, it was the 3rd quarter of last night’s game.

These past two games have seen him pass for over 550 yards and 7 TDs with a crazy completion percentage of 80% right on the dot. In the past two games, we have seen him fit throws into holes that just do not seem smart, but he has developed such a strong trust in his receivers to go get the ball that he puts the ball in the hole anyways.

Against the Giants, “The Natural” threw an amazing TD pass to Gonzo in the 1st quarter. It was placed in the perfect spot amongst two defenders where only Tony could get to it.

Against the Lions, it seemed like every TD pass was thrown in the perfect spot. He had 4 TDs and should have had 5. The pass to Julio was incredible, and the catch was equally as impressive. Ryan hit Roddy in stride for the first TD.

For all of you Ryan-naysayers, here is a little information for you to chew on:

Plays of 40 yards or more - 10 - Currently, 6th in the league.
Passer Rating - 100.2 - Currently, 4th in the league. (Among current starting QBs)
Comp Pct - 69% - Currently, 1st in the leaugue among QBs with more than 350 attempts.
Total QBR - 76.7 - Currently, 3rd behind only Brady and Peyton.

What does this all add up to? Matt Ryan is an elite QB, and he is going to prove it this post-season with a deep run in the playoffs. Naysayers be damned!

"Yup, I am going to light these boys up tonight." (Atlanta Falcons)

  1. I'm definitely feeling pretty good about the past two wins. The Falcons seem to be getting stronger at the end of the season which is the best time for any team to get revved up. I must say though, despite the Seachickens historically not doing well away, they're still making me nervous with their recent super-powers. I've also noticed we're a little weak on the Right Tackle side. I definitely feel like we have a good chance this year though, but we need to leave the days of playing down to our competition in the past.
